Export permits are required for the removal of almost any animal product from Nunavut. This includes frozen caribou purchased from retail outlets. A special pamphlet on Exporting Wildlife explains all export procedures and is available from Nunavut Tourism. |
|
Also, make yourself aware of all import regulations from your home country before you consider taking any animal product home. For example, sealskin and ivory cannot be imported into the US. |
